SATYAMEV JAYATE

I hardly watch TV as I am living in hostel and we dont have TV in our hostel. But sometimes I go to my home and watch TV. Although, I read newspaper but I think they are not enough, atleast for me.
From newspapers, I read something about a new tv show SATYAMEV JAYATE. And suddenly it ringed into my mind that it might be any crime related show. Then I came to know that Aamir Khan is linked to it. And more I was told that Aamir sir is hosting this show. And situation became some more clear. It cant be an ordinary program. So I got to know two things about it. One the name of the show and second Aamir is hosting the show. Still the format of the show was unknown for me.
After sometimes, I read from the newspapers that the show is a hit. It was on the mind of everyone. In news headlines, on radio fm. I read that some social issues are raised and discussed everyday in the show.
Today, I got chance to watch this show. And it really changed my mind. It was really not a normal show. In today’s show the issue was on love-marriages. Is it a social evil or what?
Inter caste marriage, marriages in other religions. If a boy marriages a girl of other caste/ religion, what happens? I know something about this. In some cases, both of them are murdered. Although it has been said that police protection is provided, but in today’s show, it was told that sometimes even police becomes dangerous for them.
When I was watching this show, I could not stop myself from tearing my eyes. I saw two cases on the love marriage on the show. One was love marriage of Rijawan-Priyanka, in which Rijwan was killed. It was an inter religion marriage.
On the show I saw Rijwan’s mom crying. Other case was  of Manoj-Bably, a famous love marriage case of Haryana state, in which both of them were killed and thrown away in river.
And the whole scenario was changed suddenly in my mind.
Rijwan’s mom was saying    weeping that   his son loved a girl of other religion. Was it a crime?
Are we really living in 21th century. India is one of the most  speedily emerging powers on the global level. And what is happening inside it? Do we care? If we care, then what do we care for?
If it happens, then I ask what the hell is the country developing for? People are still narrow minded. Mentally blocked. What are we doing? Do we care for relations?
May be, we are living in 21th century, but still most of us are mentally backward. I dont know what the hell the KHAP PANCHAYAT in Haryana do? They have their own courts.
If a north indian comes to south, he is beaten cruelly on road. We breath in free air. Are we all secure? No one knows.
Some many people are murdered everyday. What happens finally? Case closed, files closed!
Time has been changed but our mentality is still the same. Our thoughts have not been changed
Many parts of the country are still untouched with the development. Physical development alone wont do anything. Mental development is also as important.
Government takes steps towards this all. But they are not enough. People must also take initiatives.
And, such  social issues are raised on TV in a show for eg- satyamev jayate.
But it should not just a TV show. It has to strike every one’s heart and soul so that they can wake up from inside. This is a must watch show rather than wasting time in watching daily soaps.
Today Kashmir is burning in the fire of religion, a continuous fight between Hindu and Muslims. Humanity has been replaced by hate.
And in this situation, Aamir sir is proving himself a connecting link between both religions. We are human first, then comes our religions. Aamir works on such a project that strikes everybody’s mind. From “Lagaan” to 3 Idiots and now recent Satymev Jayate.
Fights on castes, fights for religions, corruption,  terrorism, status of women in today’s society female foeticide, sex differentiation, inter society marriages are a few        to name which are engulfing the development of the country.
Are we moving forward or going backward?
There was a time when only uneducated people used to do such type of foolish things but now a days even the educated society has also involved into it.
We all have to stand against it to eradicate it, so that we can make india the most successful country on this glob.

MY COUNTRY

From the freedom, till now our country is just fighting for development. We got and lost.
Our former president Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam gave us a vision “My country of 202″. What is my vision for my country, what is your vision for the country? What vision do we all have for our country?
My vision is to work for myself, your vision would be be to work for yourself. And we have forgotten one thing, our country, we are living in. Our vision is limited up to us.
We all compare our country with other countries. One of my friend said that Japan is much ahead of our country in all fields, even after it was totally destroyed in 1945 nuclear blasts. But my that friend had forgotten that Japanese dont waste their time in this type of silly talks. They work hard for their country.
I read in my school text book that once Swami Ramkrishan Paramhans ( then guru of Swami Vivakanand) went to Japan. There he saw that people were working hard in the factories. Oil was falling from machines and sweat was falling from people’s faces. We can conclude that why is that country so far away from us?
The day we start to think about our country is the day when this country will move a step ahead. You take a step ahead, I take one step ahead and we all will move ahead.
Today, our country is trapped by terrorism, corruption, poverty, unemployment, illiteracy a few to name, proving to be barriers in the way of development of the country. We all need to fight against all these social evils.
If these evils are eradicated, the country will move ahead with a fast pace.
Corruption is the biggest problem, the country is facing today most. It has been spread like an infection in the country. And has infected everyone of us. In our everyday like, we come across this infectio.
Government is taking steps to stop it. But I dont think that its enough. We all have to fight against it individually. Only then it can be vanished.
But it must not be just a matter of talk in the coffee shops. It has to come out form these walls. All we need to do is to break these walls and all the barriers.
Its time to work, we have wasted time in just sitting and thinking with cup of tea in our hand, sitting on chair with news papers in our hands. Still we have lots of things to do.
Indian market is whole captivated by foreign companies. Don’t we have things on our country? We are dependent on other countries while there was a time when our country was known as “Vishwa Guru.” We have lost it.
Now its time t get it back. Arise, awake and dont stop till the goal is not reached. We all have our own visions. But we all need to do is set a vision for our country too. We are running behind foreigners, let them run behind us.
Yes, we have the power. And we can do it.
Its the time to devote some time from our daily time for our country.
